About Albany Youth Support Association Inc.
Albany Youth Support Association Inc. (better known as Young House) is a well respected Not For Profit Community Association which has been providing youth services since the early 1980s.
The Mission statement of the Association is to “provide a range of support and advocacy services with a focus on early intervention to alleviate and prevent crises in the lives of young people who are at risk of harm.”
The Association currently employs six full-time trained youth workers, six part-time youth workers, a part-time Arts Studio Coordinator and casual artists, and a part-time Aboriginal Engagement Specialist. These operational staff are supported by a Manager and a part-time office administrator and a part-time finance officer.
The Association is governed by a Board consisting of voluntary members from the Great Southern. The Board meets at least once per month to discuss strategic items and to monitor the financial and management progress of the the Association.
