Access Arts Studio
Open
Access Arts Studio provides a safe, secure environment for
disadvantaged and marginalised young people by helping to alleviate
and prevent crises. Young people are encouraged to participate in
art and cultural activities, and opportunities are provided to be
involved in running aspects of the studio.
Community Artists provide
arts activities such as music, sculpture, painting and urban art.
Entry is by referral then interview and young people can self refer.
Open Access: Objectives

To help alleviate and prevent
crises in the lives of At Risk Youth (aged between 15 - 18 years and up to
25 years) by teaching and practising art and cultural activities, in a
supportive environment, in order to build At Risk Youth self esteem,
confidence, and general well being;

Promote the recognition by our
community of young people as an important and vital part of our society;

and Encourage At Risk Youth to
participate in art and cultural activities in general and to provide
opportunities for At Risk Youth to be involved in the running of the studio.
